The Challenge
A non-technical founder needed to validate a marketplace idea before approaching investors. Budget was fixed and timeline was 5 weeks.
Our Solution
We ran a tight scoping workshop to identify the minimum feature set: buyer/seller auth, listing CRUD, search/filter, Stripe Connect for payments with escrow, and a basic messaging thread. Built on Next.js + Supabase with Vercel deployment.
Results
- Live in 5 weeks, on budget
- 50 listings created in the first week
- Used as the basis for a seed funding pitch
- Full codebase handed over — no ongoing retainer
